Good app, but no background refresh

This is a great a app, except that its most important feature doesnt work reliably.

The is no background refresh, you have to open the app to get it to update, even if you have background update and notifications turned on. Sometimes it stops updating altogether until the app is force quit and reopened.

Same thing on the Apple Watch, the complication will not update reliably on its own. Even after opening the app on the watch so that it updates, the complication often will not update.

What use is a pedometer complication that doesnt start up to date?
